Here we try to answer any questions you may have about pet funeral urns. If you have any further questions, please contact the Argosforever team.
How is cremation different from burial?
At a cremation, the body is reduced to its basic elements through heat and evaporation, then bone fragments (ashes) are further processed into a powdery substance (cremated remains). Though it might seem pretty straight forward, there are several important differences between burial and cremation. Burial is more expensive because of the need for embalming.
Isn’t pet cremation an end in itself?
Some people may regard it as such, but most families don’t think of a cremated pet as being anything more than a form of urn or memorial. But most families do feel that their deceased pet deserves to be remembered. Pet urns and memorials are now the norm for families who want to remember their beloved pets by providing a resting place for them they can call their own.
If you have a pet cremated, do you want to receive the ashes back?
Ask your Veterinarian to guide you to a reputable pet cremation services facility. Your vet may have suggestions about a pet cremation service, but it’s most likely that your pet will be buried. If you want to be sure the service won’t mix up your pet with another one, request a “private cremation”. This indicates you do not want your pet’s ashes commingled with other animals.
Grief counseling
Missing a pet can be just as difficult as missing a family member. The grief is unimaginable and we are never quite prepared to deal with the loss of our beloved companion. We highly recommend using the services of a professional grief counselling service to assist you, your family or children with dealing with loss.

I’d like to keep the ashes of my furry friend, what are your options?
We have a complete selection of pet cremation urns in which you may place all or a portion of your pet’s cremains. A pet cremation urn is a great way to honor your beloved pet. Not only is it respectful, but it serves as a beautiful urn for the cremains.
How do I select the right size urn for my pet’s ashes?
When purchasing an urn for your pet’s ashes, the first step in choosing the correct size is to purchase a pet urn that is listed as suitable for the body weight and weight range of your pet. A good rule-of-thumb is 1 pound of body weight equals 1 cubic inch of cremains. Based on normal, healthy conditions, pets generally weigh between 4 and 12 pounds. We’ve made sizes available for pets up to 25 pounds and 40 pounds when necessary.
How do I add my pet’s ashes to the urn?
Always follow the instructions provided by your veterinarian or crematory providing your pet’s cremation services. Typically, these instructions will include placing your pet’s ashes into a plastic box inside of which is a secured bag that will have a tag with your pet’s name and date of death. The ashes need to remain in that bag.
